Visit responsible restaurants and connected production sites hearing the stories of the chefs and entrepreneurs. This tour will draw you back into your five senses and this moment of sharing with one another.

The tour includes an appetizer, meal and dessert as well as two innovative drinks, the visit of a production site and a cooking course is available most days of the week. A gastronomic guide will walk you through the food experience and the stories of the chefs, entrepreneurs and businesses. A basic taxi service is included, but customized transportation is recommended like bicycles or electric scooters, for example. Base prices per participant are between $185 and $205 depending on the day of the week and group sizes. Additional drinks, celebration cakes, customized transportation, team-building activities or an end party in a bar are all possible for an additional cost.

Out of abandoned industry and the sooty past blooms colourful, delicious and new food businesses and restaurants.  Gritty meets nouveau riche along train tracks and canal, possibility and nostalgia. Market, food factory, historical figures and discoveries for those of the neighbourhood, the newly arrived or gastronomic explorers of all kinds.

Four-hour tour that includes 2 restaurant stops, 3 market stops, beer tasting and one food production site. A gastronomic guide will walk you through the food experience and the stories of the chefs, entrepreneurs and businesses. A basic taxi service is included, but customized transportation like bicycles is recommended, for example. Base prices per participant are between $165 and $205 depending on group sizes. Additional drinks, celebration cakes, customized transportation, team-building activities or an end party in a bar are all possible for an additional cost.

Round Table Tours: Iberian Montreal Circuit of Tapas – Montreal, Canada

Discover the delicious manifestations of the Iberian Peninsula in Montreal’s Plateau neighbourhood that have grown out of its Latin roots. Come “tapear”, go from place to place eating Spanish tapas, Portuguese petiscos and Basque pintxos with friends. This tour brings you to three restaurants for tapas paired with carefully chosen wines, a specialized grocery store and a food production site. Meet the chefs and entrepreneurs that bring you the traditional, re-visited or Iberian-inspired delights. Stories and explanation of the food and evolution of the businesses that culminated to bring you the experience will be told. Experience each establishment intimately, with privilege and an insider perspective- like being inside a TV show!

The tour lasts four hours and includes: three tapas, three well-paired wines (or  non-alcoholic drinks of choice), dessert, coffee, and surprise tastings at a specialty grocery store and food production site as well as surprise gifts. A simple taxi service is provided during winter months, but when the weather is nice, the distances of a few blocks will be done on foot. Off The Eaten Track: Best Eats Of The East Village Tour – Vancouver, BC, Canada

Want to see the real Vancouver? The East Village is a colourful mix of cultures and ethnicities from its Italian heritage to the influx of Chinese and Southeast Asian influences. This tour starts with dessert. We sample some hand-crafted chocolate at Café Schokolade and get a mouth-watering lesson from their master chocolatier. Then we navigate through the oldest neighbourhood in the city stopping at 7 local shops. We pop into a charming Italian deli for a mind-blowing charcuterie platter, a multicultural grocery store for some tea samples, a family-run butcher shop for a salami tasting, and much more. We end the tour at Campagnolo Roma, one the hottest Italian restaurants in the city where we dine on traditional pizza. Delizioso!

We start the morning off right with a creamy cappuccino at the stunning Gene Café then take you on an amazing coffee journey. We visit 6 popular cafes and eateries along bustling Main Street surrounded by vintage shops, bookstores, and historic architecture. Here, we will sample delicate French macaroons, gourmet zucchini chocolate muffins, a cheesy veggie quesadilla, and tuna bites, a house specialty. Our Inglewood’s Edible Enticements and Urban Hike for the Uptown Appetite get you out of your car and exploring the hidden treasures of these neighbourhoods on foot.

We are also proud of Calgary’s ethnic diversity and have developed three tours to showcase some of them. The International Intrigue is a deluxe tour with a private bus that explores Asian, South Asian, Middle Eastern, Italian, German, Dutch, Swiss, Austrian, and North, Central, and South American influences in our city. The Celebration of Chinatown tour highlights the 100 plus years of Canadian Chinese in Calgary with interpretation of art and architecture, discovery of artifacts and of course Chinese food, tea and goodies. A Passage to India takes participants to “Little India” for a sumptuous buffet, shopping for staples and then a private hands-on class with Indian cooking legend, Mrs. Noorbanu Nimji of www.aspicytouch.com fame.

We are also pleased to be the organizers of City Palate Magazine’s Annual Foodie Tootles tours to farms near Calgary. As a long time Slow Food supporter, and former steering committee member, owner Karen Anderson has far reaching friendships with Alberta’s good, clean and fair food producers and farmers. Each year she carefully selects an itinerary for the tours that highlights the abundance of produce in Alberta and the dedicated farmers and food artisans behind those products. We usually visit 3 farms or businesses, taking time to tour the operation and getting to know the farmer or food artisan. Meals for the day are carefully planned to showcase Alberta’s bounty.
