Only in Santa Fe for a few days and can’t decide which of the world famous restaurants to choose for dining? Let us help you try as many restaurants as possible while you are here! Lace up your most comfortable walking shoes and arrive hungry for the only tour of its kind in New Mexico. We’ll start at the internationally recognized Santa Fe School of Cooking for a meet and greet with our chef/guide and fellow adventurers, including a delicious sampling from our repertoire. Then its out for a guided tour of four of Santa Fe’s most prestigious dining destinations.

Each stop will include a private tasting and audiences with the chefs, owners and other key players that make this city one of America’s Top Culinary Capitals!

Restaurant Walking Tour – 1

This tours includes…

  • Rio Chama is the largest restaurant in Santa Fe and as a result offers its clientelle an electic choice of environments in which to wine and dine. Among the rooms that you will visit on a tour of the restaurant are a beautiful wine cellar, a private dining area decorated with unique photos of Georgia O’Keeffe’s home, and a large party room exquisitely decorated in antique Native American textiles. After the tour you will visit the kitchen where you will be treated to a tasting of the food and wine that makes Rio Chama so popular.
  • La Casa Sena, situated in the beautiful Sena Plaza, dazzles their customers with sumptuous food and an amazing wine list. Chef Patrick Gharrity will welcome us into the luxurious wine bar where you will taste one of the house specialties.
  • Santacafe, situated in the spectacular Padre Gallegos House, is a Santa Fe institution that has consistently received the highest praises from visitors and locals alike. We will finish our tour of fine dining establishments at the restaurant Travel & Leisure once described as “elegant yet informal, with successfully inventive dishes, it is widely considered to be the cities finest restaurant”.

  • At the Galisteo Bistro meet the chef/owner Robert Chickering whose passion for authentic made-from-scratch Mediterranean food has skyrocketed his restaurant to #1 the Santa Fe Trip Advisor!
  • The Ore House at Milagro is a beautiful two story courtyard dining area. It is the perfect setting to highlight the bright, festive and authentic flavors of Latin America and Mexico. Enjoy a tasting from one of the best selection of specialty tequilas in Santa Fe.
  • La Boca, James Campbell Caruso’s Spanish tapas restaurant is the place to be seen in Santa Fe. James has a unique cooking style that has made him stand out. He has been been nominated three times by the James Beard Foundation for the “Best Chef in the Southwest” award. James takes the concept of tapas to a whole new place.
  • The Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi is one of New Mexico’s most highly acclaimed culinary destinations, The Anasazi Restaurant offers a fine dining atmosphere that is welcoming, elegant and rustic. Regional art is tastefully displayed throughout this beautiful Santa Fe restaurant. Enjoy tastings from the menu of Argentinean chef Juan Bochenski.

  • The Pink Adobe restaurant was established in 1944 by the legendary Rosalea Murphy.  Known affectionately by locals as “The Pink,” the restaurant has grown into a local and national landmark since its humble beginnings of serving French onion soup and apple pie. For over 50 years Rosalea filled her days using her talents and energy to create a unique flavor, décor and personality that makes this restaurant so special.
  • Nostrani Ristorante & Shibumi Ramenya welcomes diners into an exemplary Northern Italian fine dining experience. With a rose garden in the front and fresh herb and vegetable garden in the back, it is one of the most romantic restaurants in Santa Fe.

    Attached to Nostrani Ristorante, and utilizing garden fresh herbs and vegetables, is Shibumi Ramenya, a traditional Japanese noodle house. Chef Eric Stapleman studied Japanese cuisine in New York City and Chef de Cuisine Harris Brazina studied in Japan, and they bring the authentic flavors to the traditional Japanese menu.

  • Il Piatto, led by chef/proprietor, Matt Yohalem is on the forefront of the effort to promote seasonal, fresh and local ingredients in the Santa Fe restaurant scene. Matt works with local farmers to offer a uniquely delicious regional Italian cuisine.

  • Restaurant Martin is the restaurant that Chef Martín Rios and his wife Jennifer envisioned: A comfortable, refined and pleasing atmosphere where local people and Santa Fe visitors can enjoy Chef Rios’ award-winning progressive American cuisine. He has a long-standing reputation for his innovative combination of flavors, colors and presentation. Using fresh, local produce and organic meats and poultry, Chef Rios creates cuisine that reflects Southwestern and Asian styles influenced by his classical training in French technique. He has been nominated several times for the Best Chef in the Southwest by the James Beard Foundation.
  • Secreto Lounge at Hotel St Francis offers a unique experience in Santa Fe. Internationally acclaimed mixologists prepare garden-to-glass cocktails from locally grown ingredients while entertaining guests with the lore and history about their selection of vintage cocktails.
  • Luminaria at the Inn at Loretto celebrates the art of food by presenting Santa Fe’s only Concious Cuisine dining experience. Chef Matt Ostrander purchases fruits, vegetables and spices from local farmers and prime grades of meat from regional ranchers to create a menu that focuses on a sustainable approach to food.
  • Located next to the New Mexico state capital, The Guadalupe Cafe offers traditional home style New Mexican food in a charming, relaxed environment. The hot chile and the authentic local food has been pleasing folks for 36 years.
